Lipspeakers
The ACE/Deafblind Registration Panel registers Lipspeakers in 2 categories:
• Registered Level 2 Lipspeakers
• Member of the Register of Level 3 Lipspeakers
Registered Level 2 Lipspeakers
To be eligible for this category you must have passed CACDP Level 2 Certificate in Lipspeaking.
Member of the Register of Level 3 Lipspeakers
To be eligible for this category you must have passed either CACDP Level 3 Certificate in Lipspeaking, or Level 3 Certificate for LSPs working with Deaf and Deafblind People (Lipspeaking).
By becoming registered, Lipspeakers are agreeing to be subject to the Lipspeaking Code of Practice and a Complaints and Disciplinary Procedure.
Although not compulsory for registration, we recommend that Lipspeakers should be able to supply evidence of:
• CRB Enhanced Disclosure
• Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII)
