25 Years of Advancing Communication between Deaf and Hearing People

Who are we and what do we do?

CACDP is an awarding body offering qualifications in language and communication with deaf people.

Our qualifications cover the whole range of deaf people - deaf people who lip read, deaf people who use sign language, deaf blind people who use the Manual, and so on.

All our qualifications are recognised across the whole UK. All qualifications accredited by QCA and on the national framework of qualifications from Levels 1 to 4.

You can study for our qualifications in colleges, schools, deaf centres and so on.

CACDP is also a registration body. We hold registers of BSL/English Interpreters, Lip speakers, Speech to Text Reporters and Deaf blind Manual.

People on the register have achieved the national standard in their profession. They have agreed to be regulated. These are the people who should be used to provide access for deaf people.

What is our aim?

CACDP's aim is to improve communication between deaf and hearing people, whatever the means of communication.

You can help us to achieve this!

Explore our website to find out more!
