Training FAQs
Does CACDP regulate tutors?
As an Awarding Body, we do not employ tutors who deliver
our qualifications. We can only make recommendations on tutor
qualifications. These are outlined in our tutor policy.
What qualifications do CACDP tutors need?
CACDP’s tutor policy outlines our recommendations
on tutor qualifications.
How do I become a tutor for a CACDP qualification?
If you feel you have the appropriate skills and qualifications
to become a CACDP tutor (see above), then attending a training course
in your chosen subject area is the next step. The training course will provide guidance on the qualification and assessment. You can
also purchase materials from the CACDP shop to assist your tuition.
How often do existing tutors need to attend a training
course?
We recommend that all tutors attend at least one training
course for each unit or qualification they teach. Tutors can attend
any number of training courses if they feel they are beneficial
for keeping up to date in their subject area.
How are training places allocated?
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis,
upon receipt of the booking form, complete with payment or official
purchase order. We cannot reserve your place until payment or a
purchase order is received.
When will I receive confirmation that I am booked on to
a training event?
You should receive confirmation of your place at a training
course around one month before the course takes place. However,
you should receive confirmation that
your booking form has been received.
What materials will I receive when I attend a training
course?
All attendees will receive handouts. You will receive a copy of the unit/qualification
specification.
Are there any other support materials available for tutors
of CACDP qualifications?
CACDP offers a range of support materials for tutors. Visit
the CACDP shop to view our full range of products.
